Get into the spooky spirit with these delicious and creepy brain pops! These red-colored sugar cookie brain pops are coated in white chocolate with gooey green drizzles, making them the perfect treat for Zombie Week.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sugar cookie mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Red gel food coloring
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup green candy melts
  • Edible candy eyeballs

Instructions:

Put the softened butter, egg, vanilla extract, and sugar cookie mix in a bowl

Mix until you get a dough

Mix the dough with red gel food coloring until it is a deep red color

Take tablespoon-sized chunks of dough and roll them into shapes that look like brains

Put them on a baking sheet that has parchment paper on it

Put a lollipop stick in the middle of the bottom of each brain shape

Put the brains in a freezer for twenty minutes

As you go, melt the white chocolate chips and coconut oil in 20-second bursts in a bowl that can go in the microwave

Let the extra white chocolate drip off of each brain pop as you dip it in it

Let the brain pops set after putting them back on the parchment paper

Melt the green candy melts in a different bowl in the microwave

To make the brain pops gooey, drizzle the green candy coating over them with a fork

While the candy coating is still wet, put edible candy eyes on top of the brain pops

Before you serve, let the brain pops fully set
