Captain D's Batter Dipped Fish
Captain D's Batter Dipped Fish is a classic seafood dish with cod fillets that are crispy from being dipped in batter. It's simple to make and great for making a tasty seafood meal at home.
Ingredients:
- 4 cod fillets
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
Put flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl and mix them together
Mix the milk and egg in a different bowl using a whisk
First, dip each cod fillet into the milk and egg mix
Then, use the flour mix to cover it all over
In a deep fryer or large skillet, heat the oil to 375F 190C
Heat the oil and add the cod fillets
Fry them for about 4 to 5 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown and crispy
Take it out of the oil and let it drain on paper towels
Hot fish should be served with tartar sauce or lemon wedges
